Pool 8 Ball Guide

Gameplay

The type of game - Recreational

The player's objective in the game - The objective of Pool 8 Ball is to get all the balls into the pockets (the 8 ball has to be last) before the timer runs out or when a player receives three fouls.

How to play - Pool 8 Ball is exactly like a regular game of pool. Simply use the pool cue to hit the white ball. The white ball will knock the other balls (object balls) into the pockets.

The controls:

  • Desktop - On a desktop, use your mouse to aim the pool cue and release it to send the white ball in the direction you want it to go. The power of the strike is determined by the level of the fluctuating power gauge on the bottom left at the time you release the cue.
  • Mobile - On mobile, use your finger to drag the pool cue and release your finger to send the white ball in the direction you want it to go. The power gauge works the same way as on desktop.

How points, health, weapons, and other components work - Pool 8 Ball is a casual recreational game, so there are no weapons. Simply use the pool cue as you would in a normal pool game. You do have “health” to consider. If you get a foul by sinking the white ball into a pocket three times, the game ends.

Multilevel - No

Tips and tricks - Keep an eye on your power gauge at the bottom left. If you release the pool cue too early, you will only lightly tap the ball. If you release the cue when the gauge is red, you’ll send the white ball flying. You don’t need to hit the white ball hard every time, or else you risk getting a foul!

You should first position your mouse or finger at a particular location on the table to set the direction of the white ball, then pull back, hold it, check the power gauge, and release the cue with the power you want. You shouldn’t put the 8-ball into a pocket until all the other balls have cleared the table.

When you’re aiming the pool cue, keep an eye on the ball you’re targeting, as you’ll see the exact direction it will go in once you strike the white ball with the pool cue. Also, when aiming the cue, try setting the direction of the ball by positioning your mouse near the second ball, instead of the white ball. This makes the hand-eye coordination required for hitting the ball easier.
